For sale is a Pioneer PL-518 Direct Drive Turntable. The turntable is in excellent working condition and very good to excellent cosmetic condition. The turntable has been tested and is functioning properly. The clear cover does have some scratches and while packaging the record player for shipping one of the isolator feet fell off. The foot was re-glued in place, but it is possible to purchase replacements. Comes with a Shure RM950ED cartridge that is also in great condition. This auction is worth the price for just the Shure Phono Cartridge alone. If you know what these are, you know they are going for big bucks on ebay and the internet. The Cartridge is in great condition considering it's age. The turntable is working and spins nicely, the platter is very heavy and will be wrapped separately, the paper strobe lines on the bottom of the platter had come loose and needs to be glued back on, (its in perfect condition), we'll leave that up to you. There is some very small corrosion around the platter area, that can be easily cleaned up with a rotary tool or something, and there is a dab of black paint on one of the spots. But overall this unit is in very good shape considering it's a vintage unit. The arm and all motions are nice and smooth. Like we said the Shure Super Tracker V15 Type III DU Phono Cartridge is worth the price of this auction, it will probably be like getting the turntable for free.
